Perhaps some people have exhausted their benefits and are not being counted as unemployed.

Nitin Chhoda you have certainly hit your stride! You are providing the most accurate information anywhere! I applaud you for going in depth on topics that many cant even begin to wrap their heads around. I also like that you are incorporating a bit of humor into your reports! You are certainly figuring out that walking the tightrope is hard...but once mastered there is no stopping you!

That said, I would like for you to research a few points and provide a report on the situation I will present.

In Georgia there are a huge number of people who work in the entertainment industry! I do sound and lighting...living the freelance life. Luckily I qualified for UI that expired in July. Afterwards PUA picked up which has been a lifesaver. The PUA is a great thing but I have friends who work as actors and they were unable to qualify for UI so they immediately went into PUA. The state was very good about backdating claims so they didn't miss any of the $600 bonus weeks! However they continued to backdate to February I think! Meaning they recieved 8 weeks of $120 payments and the PUA benefit are now set to expire the 1st week of November.

So we keep hearing about UI in the new stimulus package. The debate is $400 or $600 fed bonus which is retroactive and last longer than 12/31. I am curious about this because I am not sure if this is for the existing people on PUA or in anticipation for new people who will need the benefits. If its for existing PUA then thats really a blessing! If it is for new applicants then it is time to worry!

What are people to do when PUA ends in 2 weeks? FYI the Screen Actors Guild and most in the music industry have canceled EVERYTHING THROUGH 4/21! I DONT THINK MOST PEOPLE REALIZE HOW MUCH DAMAGE IS BEING DONE!

AGAIN THANKS FOR WHAT YOU DO AND I HOPE TO HEAR FROM YOU REGARDING MY QUESTIONS!

THANKS! MUCH LOVE!

I’m in Nebraska and out of work because I’m in an at risk group and not yet released back to work. I feel like our government has betrayed people like us and only care about those who are wealthy

I believe 2021 will be much better financially and once the virus is under control and more people are back at work the economy will improve and more people will be needed to work, however the government needs to help laid off workers for now until things improve financially.!!!.

Many are not better off. You just don't hear about it. Older works got cut and many can't get jobs at all. The Labor dept. numbers are not accurate.

The problem is that so many people are waiting on back pay from Unemployment and all they do is tell us to wait for a manager to suddenly release our back pay. I have been waiting since I applied in May and my claim goes back to March 8th.

Yes that is true but certified for every week it is going to be a bit difficult but I know next year's recovery will be at modest I still think that the recovery will be slowly improving for me but once I allow things work for me then it should be a little bit better I'm not really expecting a lot her right now wasn't really afford to me is it have a roof over my head and food as I continue to strengthen my own economy and recover having food roof over my head and alone with supplying food on the table and paying bills that's really it was important I'm just blessed that I have roof over my head and food because there's people out there is a lot worse off than I am and I feel for them especially in the winter months

I can say, depending on the person, Amazon is hiring left and right in different areas. Some of these positions are seasonal but something is better than nothing. Most of the time, speaking from personal experience, they will keep the person beyond the season.
