Guitars In Siberia (Part II)

Still fairly cold out so the song is still thematic to the season. Siberian Khatru from the YES album Close To The Edge. If you like this one be sure to check out Part I where I play the intro to the song.

I was planning on using one of my other guitars for Part II but it really had to be a hollow body. The guitar is an old aria hollow body. As I mentioned in the prior vid Steve Howe used things other than hollow bodies but I am pretty sure I hear one in the studio recording. Running it through a Boss DD3 for a short single delay, then into an AC30CCH head and custom 2X12 Celestion Blue cab. I am dialing down the master and cranking the gain on the top boost channel…so the levels are very reasonable…somewhere in between bedroom and band rehearsal volumes. A wee bit of reverb and chorus in post.

A bit of crackle at the end…maybe the neck shake was doing something to the wiring …worse things have happened…seize the day!

No offence intended by posting something Russian-Siberia related. It’s all about the song and the glory that is YES!!!
