I think this was the first time I saw Fed play/or maybe the final/I clearly remember saying it to myself "man this guy can make a topspin backhand return on a regular basis, that forehand was out of this world and the guy was class act"I don't think there will ever be another tennis player like Federer, he was the perfect gift to tennis fans for 20 plus years

I remember watching this live and after the rally at 7:27 and Fed was smiling, I felt that "this is a guy who's only starting to realize how talented he is". The thought in his mind must have been "Wow, I can't believe I can be THIS good." It was as if he could do whatever he wanted on a tennis court and no one could do anything about it. He must have felt like he was walking on clouds. I feel that this was his TRUE coming out party.

9:00 unreal point. Roddick's return at Fed's shoestrings. Fed somehow half volleys it as deep into the corner as possible. After Roddick's next shot, Fed hits essentially a put away and Roddick gets to it and even manages to hit a superb shot down the line to make Fed hit one more shot.
