How To Make Custom Sights In War Thunder! Updated 2024

Steps:
2) Select what picture you want to make a sight of
3) Move and scale the image to your liking
4) Start creating
5) When you are done, click "Export Sight"
7) In War Thunder, go to options then click on "Common Battle Settings"
8) At "Use alternative grid sight" click "Add a grid sight"
9) Go to the User Sights folder and open it
10) Open the folder for the tank you created the sight for
14) Make sure you didn't miss the { and } at the start and end
15) Save the .blk file
16) Rename it (optional)
17) Restart War Thunder
18) At "Use alternative grid sight" click the name of the .blk file (sight1 by standard)
19) Go in a test drive and see if your sight loaded correctly
20) Done!

you can find your custom sights under reticle in the sight editor if you're wondering

If you're wondering where the custom sights are, it's in the ground vehicle battle settings tab now. Gaijin moved them from common battle settings to there.

even if the dance of dragons update removed the custom sights, vehicles that already had them will not be changed (at least that's the case for me and the vehicles that i already had customized sights)

Nice! I was able to put it under "all tank sights" using a specific classifier at the top of the code, basically telling the game it was true that it could be used for all subtypes of tanks. I use it on Arcade mode though, which might be different

Today the Dance Of Dragons update released, and it appears as custom sights don't work anymore😭

Hello, I am currently having a problem with sight. When I open the Common Battle Settings section, the sight section is not in the Command Battle Settings.
