If being a JW is based on the bible then why do bible colleges, full of people studying the bible, turn out zero JW's? How is it that actually studying the bible produces fewer converts than from among people who know almost nothing about the bible?

We had a circuit overseer around 1984 named Dick Ciranko. Dick was a man who clamored for attention. He was a showman. I found out how much of a jerk he really was. He was always looking for the “better deal”. We signed up to host him and his wife for lunch on Sunday. When we returned from service he came up to me and said his plans changed because a couple of his friends came into town to visit and he opted to go to lunch with them instead. My wife was livid. Our book study had gotten together to prepare a nice meal. I think everyone was disappointed. What a douche.

Ahh really 😁 16 years ago I began unthreading what I heard from my Mom and each time I disagreed she would get one of them to produce what they believe is evidence. Unfortunately, I had to show them the legal definition of material proof and I had to show them that the literature and Bible book and their books do not qualify lawfully as material proof. So no wonder I am shunned, and I am not even a JW nor have I ever been one. I wonder what they call me. A scary threat ha ha
