I was addicted to my smartphone, so I switched to a flip phone. It's for mental health. I'm really glad I made it a flip phone. Being a slave to your smartphone is tough. But as much as I love flip phones, I have some concerns about them. I wonder what will happen if flip phones are no longer produced. In this video of flip phones in 2024, flip phones cannot be bought in Japan, but I hope flip phones will be reevaluated and become popular again. In Japan, the latest flip phone called [Mode One Retro 2] was released at the end of last year. I hope that flip phones become more popular worldwide. Flip phones have become popular again in America, and I hope that trend will come to Japan as well.

I bought the S22 flip for my 80 year old dad and he loves it. The big buttons designed to be used if you are wearing gloves makes it easy for him to use. It also has a large multi-function button on the left side of the phone which I assigned my phone number to for a panic button.

it's not a nostalgia thing, it's a wellness thing. I didn't grow up with a flip phone. I just want something that is just a phone so I know why I even have it in my hand. I'm tired off having a "phone" that is also a media streamer, music streamer, camera, gps, storefront, debit card, etc. It does a lot of things but not nearly as good as things MEANT for that purpose. I'd rather hold a phone and make a call than pick up a computer to call somebody but end up doing 50 other things because my notifications and social media tells me I have to respond right away.

I bet for next tech - tober there is going to a major shift in aesthetics of phones. I would totally ditch my iPhone to get back the smaller form factor of a flip phone. I got myself the Nokia 2780 and love it! The LG Wine and Samsung Smart Folder were such a head of its time! I wishing for a revamp on something like those phones making a return. Half keyboard, half smart screen or touch.

I have owned the Kyocera DuraXE LTE Flip Phone for over 5 years and have enjoyed it immensely. Very rugged and can use any carrier out there with an unlocked phone . I use Pure Talk with no problems. Additionally, there are some hacks to add apps to your phone. Everything I need.

catt s22, I'm an old-school flip phone user, I could not find a way to retrieve my messages, could not do the voice-to-text (which it's supposed to do), takes freaking forever to boot up, and a good 8 hrs to charge but it's supposed to last 3 days, such a tiny screen making it impossible for me to input any phone numbers much less text
