Type II Diabetes and Social Security Disability: New Strategies for Winning

What is the most effective winning strategy for Type II #diabetes cases when you are pursuing Social Security disability benefits?

Type II diabetes is a relatively common medical condition and #disability judges frequently see claimants alleging disability based on adult onset diabetes. How can you make your case stand out?

As I discuss in this video, I am now recommending to my clients that they keep a daily blood sugar log. It is not enough anymore to rely on blood sugar readings recorded only at the doctor’s office in a monthly or bi-monthly basis. Instead, a daily log will document highs and lows of your blood sugar and will show if your blood glucose levels are not well controlled by medications.

Daily logs will also lend credence to your testimony about the day to day complications when your sugar levels are either too high or too low - problems such as blurry vision, excessive need to urinate, and numbness & tingling in your extremities.

Please let me know about your diabetes disability claim experiences.

I've been a diabetic type2 for 11yrs now running 400 to 580 now I'm on 2types insulin long lasting Lantus and humlog fast acting 3 to 4 times a day on a sliding scale I've 2two toes and part of my bone in my foot removed with surgery. My sugar has ran between 250 and 350 for over a year. I applied for SSD about 5months ago. Everything has document and sent in to Social security with medical records and 2doctors signing off on my condition. I've also had learn walk again and get my balance back. I have team attorneys on it in Utah. What is my chances of winning my case ?
