ANSYS Workbench Tutorial using Explicit Dynamics to model a RC Beam (Reinforced Concrete Beam). Failed elements or cracked and crushed elements are deleted from the model as the analysis is running. Deformation of the Rebar is also shown. This is a high impact test of concrete. I will create a standard beam test video in the future for low speed cracking and crushing of the rc beam in ansys workbench.

+DrDalyO thanks a lot for the video, I am eagerly waiting for your waiting on the analysis of RC Beam in Static structural. In that video can you please explain how to create bond between steel and concrete, and how to input compressive strength of concrete from lab to be included in the concrete material thats' going to used in the analysis.

How did you select velocity of 8000mm/s if we want to do for other materials how do you select the velocity for that material

Hello there! Your video has been really helpful for me and I have a question. Will the reinforcement setting work for a geometry which was created in Solidworks or does it need to be a line body? I am working on a model of a unit cell made of epoxy reinforced with graphene sheets. Thank you in advance.

owl good tutorial! I just think the loading speed is a little bit high thus the deformation in midspan is relatively huge than prediction

@DrDalyO: Thank you so much for this video. Its greatly helpful. Hey, I have a question though, can I change the velocity to 125 m/s and run the analysis. Is there any other changes that I should be doing other than changing the velocity? I reduced the velocity and ran the analysis, its giving some weird results.

Your video has been helpful but i have an error concerning the solver output it says "An error occurred when the post processor attempted to load a specific result. Please review all messages."

how do i solve this problem?

Very impressive and informative
While you input the engineering data, you say that you choose the material from the list of explicit material, because you use explicit solver.
Is this general information? Namely if we use Steady-State Thermal, must we use Thermal Materials?

This is really helpful. I have question tho. When it comes to adjust to visible, why does the results are changed when we activate 'adjust to visible'? I found out that numbers next to color distribution bar are changed. I'd really appreciate if you could explain it to me.

this is very promising video on Reinforced Concrete beam Problem.
Do you have any idea how to construct the concrete beam with homogeneous material without using link 8 element in ANSYS.
The rebars material need to be added without using Link8 elements,
As per the description of ANSYS help in solid65 element model we can add three rebars materials.
I need to simulate the rebars without using Link8 element,
Can you help with this problem

Many thanks for your helpful tutorials, i did a model from scratch but it is saying that i need almost 300 hrs to solve it with the same configuration you did in here. ive downloaded your model from here and it was 6 minutes only, do you have any idea where did i get it wrong or how to enhance the analysis timings. (BTW I dont have any warning messages)
