The high bar is one of the most exciting apparatuses on the men's side.
Gymnasts release and regrasp a steel bar that is 1.1 inches in diameter, 94 inches long and 109 inches above the ground,
performing some of the most mind-blowing tricks in-between.

In this video, we'll take a look at the 2 most difficult high bar releases in the Code of Points: the Bretschneider and the Miyachi.

If you’re mainly a WAG fan, just picture them doing a Silivas and a Moors over the bar 🤯🤯

Gymnastics is extremely difficult, but these two elements over bar??? Unreal!!! I am totally mind-blown and sent to a parallel universe by seeing this skills and can't even imagine how this is possible.

Thank you for the men's content. It's always been odd to me how a huge chunk of gymnastics enthusiasts act as if MAG does not exist.

Finally, we have Men!!!. I think there are only three people in the world that had performed Bretschneider (Himself, Uchimura, and Miyachi). It is extremely difficult. Miyachi (the first I-rated element) is absolutely jaw-dropping. Only two gymnasts could perform this element so far (the other one is a gymnast from Netherland). I feel Miyachi is the ceiling of high bar, and I sincerely doubt people would have harder skills than this -- there just isn't much room for additional twists or roll unless you release and throw yourself in the air five feet above the bar.

Although I mainly watch women's gymnastics, I occasionally watch men's gymnastics and I have a huge respect for the skills they do. The nagornyy(sorry if it's spelled wrong) was already insane for me but the miyachi takes the cake. I wish men's gymnastics was highlighted more in media since they really work hard and the skills they do are no joke

I only watch WAG, so I cannot even comprehend how they don’t get a wicked case of the twisties going that fast??

I think also Cassina was training the Cassina with extra Twist, in 2010, The Myachi

i never understood why the men's bar is much thinner and easier to grasp meanwhile they have bigger hands genetically? (comparative to the WAG bars) can you explain this Mr. gymnastics professor sir

only die hard gymnastics fans know how insane this is. it sent shivers down my spine. i know it doesn't carry the DV like the stretch double kovacs does but it's so refreshing to actually see the artistic part of artistic gymnastics

i mainly just watch WAG but I was watching the mens US championships the other night and I noticed their scores are so much higher. Is it just because they are doing more difficult skills?

Waiting for the day someone does a triple twisting Kovacs, which will probably have a J rating like the Biles on floor

And yet a good set of German giants is still the coolest looking HB skill

I have a question, how come women do not attempt any elements like this on uneven bar?

how is the Miyachi any less difficult than the Biles on beam???? Explain this to me. You're way above the ground and if your head hits that bar going that fast... Why isn't that skill downgraded to prevent injuries cuz it looks just as scary as a double double off beam
