SPIE Rigging Marines with Helmet Cam -- Marine Week St. Louis

Marines demonstrate SPIE (Special Patrol Insertion/Extraction) rigging, after fast-roping onto a helicopter pad during Marine Week St. Louis. Marine Week provides an opportunity to increase public awareness of the Marine Corps' value to our nation's defense and to preserve and mature the Corps' relationship with the American people. It is fun. I was in 3/7 K Co and never did stuff like this (we did other crazy stuff, though). It was only when I changed MOS to a Travel Clerk when I got to do this. We buzzed around mainside on Camp Pendleton for 15 or so minutes, and then returned us to earth.
