I like it. Dual duty; camp if needed, but useful for truck duties. Thanks for sharing.

I like that this camper is taking the classic camper shell and bringing new life in! Seems like a great option for quick camping and something you don't feel silly having on the truck day to day.

This is really a good option. It is a little pricey if you compare it to having a camping trailer. The pros and cons are yours to figure out. You can pull a trailer with your toys and not worry. The weight is right on! Small trucks could get this on and not worry to much. Really cool.

I'm usually first one to criticize the price, but in this case i find it somewhat reasonable. If this was Patriot camper base price would probably be $59k. It's not cheap but even if you build it yourself and count in your hours at minimum wage plus material tools etc. it's not going to be much cheaper...

But how do you keep dust coming in from tail gate area. Having had shells, its a problem. Like, its a real problem that can keep you from sleeping at night with congestion and cover everything in it with a layer of dust.

Pretty surprising the price at base is 2900 to 9000 depending on size still high but less then others not bad if metal is made in america

Man, some of the haters in the comments are wild. It may not be for you, but for many people, this is exactly what they’re looking for.

We have a 6'7" bed PowerBoost. If we ever stop towing RV trailer with it I'd be interested in something like this.

Did they have to add support to the Ranger bed in order to install this?

I love VHB and have multiple size rolls but for that application some rivets as well would make me happier as a customer. Nice little rig

Problem with these and FWC X is dust. Sealing the bed and the back gate, pfft. One of the things I like about my FWC Hawk, you get in it after a full day of running trails, all the stuff inside, including bedding is still nice and clean. Multiply that by a weeks trip, it makes a big difference.

Holy crap. I just went to their website and priced this out. One of these things would cost as much as I paid for my truck.

Does the ceiling dome also have blackout shade? Otherwise... What's the use of the other two windows having shades? Still getting all the light from the ceiling.

1) Cool product.
2) It shows the dirt on top from your footprints. 👣
3) Can you fully enclose yourself in there at night to keep the bugs and cold out? Guessing you close your tailgate first, hop in, then close the top? Presumably there is a latch then to get out?

Looks like a great innovative company. You guys should go one step further and start building Aluminium flat trays/ canopies as one unit or trays with a seperate canopy like we have in Australia. Even bulldust doesn’t get in quality canopies.

Not bad!. I`m looking into Teardrops like Vistabule!

It seems to be a very impressive product AND production process so this is not a criticism of the Moonlander itself but based on the shape and size and height and width of it I think there will be a substantial drop in MPG.

I have an aluminum top/canopy on my F150 that’s tall enough for my 6-foot to stand up in it and it dropped at least 2 MPG from fuel efficiency and it’s only as wide as my cab. The height of this Moonlander is a bit less but much wider and the extended version would be even wider so you are traveling with a full sail in the back pushing air.

I am 6’9”…..I would have to put my feet out the window for sleeping 😂
