Unfortunately USA has arrived near Greece, Balkan countries Ukraine and Black Sea region to push for more trouble in the region and your strategic point of views are so right while US foreign policy so far away from insight. This will help to strengthen Russia’s hand and weakens the US allies in the region by creating conflicts between them. Pushing Russia and countries like İran Pakistan closer to China to name some.

US crosses too many borders of great powers and even if its allies thanks to the hunger of US military industrial complex and deep state. Not to forget the lobbies of other states like Israel pushing US not for its self interest but theirs. Blinded by lack of realism US has been in the wrong wars since WW2 and doomed also to loose the incoming ones mainly caused by the un restrained power thirst.

US to refrain from claiming global hegemony would be more in compliance with your being realistic and get prepared to compete in more productive ways with the other great powers by investing in new technologies, renewables and industrial infrastructure instead of wasting its human and material resources in arms race and endless wars.

US will better contain the economic growth and expansion of China that way. Otherwise an arms race by neglecting the economic policy of productivity will bring US to the same trap Soviet Union fell into. Following the steps of TESLA would be more productive than wasting Trillions on arms race and lost wars.

The Godzilla of military and deep state of US creates greater Godzillas in future not so far.

Russia has been pushed to be one and China is coming even faster spending much less than US while fiercely competing in production of consumer goods US is addicted to and the new ones on the row like EVs solar and battery technologies, 5G to name some. Thank you for your enlightening views that may help prevent the mistakes and future crimes to be committed.

I keep waiting for someone to ask Dr. Mearsheimer how worldwide climate change could affect great power politics, as natural disasters, loss of livable habitats, large movements of refugees, etc., continue to multiply. At some point the hegemons will have to cool it and work together for survival, it would seem.

Putin is tactically astute but his long term strategic skills are terrible. Russia is likely to decline due to demographic and economic reasons in the long run and he is doing little to nothing about it.

nice to critize bill but as lenin said... imperialism is the highest stage of capitaism (therefore its downfall) could you have reversed that logic for bill by enforcing a non imperialism capitalism, how? China made itself a capitalist honey trap thanks to Mao (who literally said to Nixon we have too many beautiful women would you like some) so you should have known that but as Marx predicted the logic of capitalism would eventually lead to socialism.
