*Great video, Luke!* Really interesting to see what Copilot can do with a real-world dataset instead of those perfectly clean demo ones. Even though Copilot might not be quite there yet, it's still pretty cool to see how Excel just keeps getting more powerful. Excel truly never dies 🤩

I consider myself lucky. My career and most of my jobs in my 20’s involved zero excel or PowerPoint. It was video editing software, digital media and CRM tools and software skills. Using AI the boredom of excel is welcomed, but they indeed overhype Teams too. When is Outlook going to be cleaned up too??😅

Did it read all the data though? if you give it too much data does it read the first chunk then hallucinate? I find it behaves like it cant be bothered and feeds you something like a lazy student might. The amount of times my second prompt is 'are you sure this is correct'... and it apologises and drip feeds me some more.

I think it depends on the skill level of the user. I'm pretty advanced with excel, so it probably wouldn't be of much use to me. But for a someone who doesn't know excel well, it might be worth it. Anyway, since the making of this video, they switched to the 'credit' model. Regular office 365 subscribers get a small amount of free credits every month (I imagine just enough for a handful of queries). If that's all you need, cool. But I guess people who plan to use it regularly would have to pay $20/month for the "Pro" model.

My company so far has not paid for copilot but keeps telling us AI skills are important and it isn’t AI that will replace us, but a worker who knows AI😅 well gee thanks. So I have to learn all this outside of work.
