This reminds me of a wholesome memory I had with my late father. My father passed away when I was seventeen, but back and middle school I was bullied severely. I went to a middle school dance and nobody wanted to dance or hang out with me. It was horrible, I ended up calling my dad to tell me to come pick me up... When we got home I went in my room and started crying. My dad calls me to come down to our finished basement and he had a slow song and a disco ball and dressed up for the occasion. He wanted to dance with me, that memory always sticks with me. I was so lucky to have a great dad. I miss him so much, and writing this is making me cry.

Something like this actually happened to me before... my friends and I were practicing for the talent show one year in elementary school (we were doing a dance) and they kicked me out of our group because I "wasn't sassy enough." And I just gave up on it and dancing has given me a complex ever since 😊
