Wow, crime pays, if the amount is large enough.

I have more faith in the word of someone who has been caught in a lie and then punished, than I do in someone who hasn't been caught, because they think they can still get away with it.

Even when these traitors are held accountable it's woefully inadequate and reeks of a two tiered justice system wherein those who are wealthy, part of the corporate or political classes, or any part of the judicial and law enforcement systems themselves, receive punishments far, far more lenient than anyone else in this society would receive. Five months for perjury is ludicrous. However, the 100-day sentence that he formerly received in the case in which he perjured himself was also ludicrous and insanely lenient.

Ex-Trump CFO Allen Weisselberg sentenced to five months...

Narrator whispers into the microphone:

"Meanwhile, on the other side of the very same city, a poor guy is sentenced to ten years in prison for having a joint in his pocket..."

The court doesn't have enough teeth. He should be sentenced to the maximum sentence. Stop slapping hands!

Just five months? Goes to show that there are 2 standards of justice here in America: One for the rich & powerful and the other for the rest of us.

5 months is all - so, lies is kinda OK - this is a joke! Lies under oath must carry a - well, I would say our legal system depends on truthful testimony to dispense justice - hence, for me, I would want to deter any lies under oath at any time, by anybody - in any judicial setting. 10 years minimum in my book.
