Anaconda may be in reference to one of four snakes species, however, typically when someone says anaconda they are referring to the green anaconda. The four anaconda species all live in South America and while they aren't the longest snakes in the world, one species specifically is the largest living snake in the world. The green anaconda may reach more than 20 feet in length, and other anacondas can reach more than half that size. The smaller species of these large snakes can reach 100 pounds in weight while green anacondas can more than double this! Often these boas are confused as pythons because both these types of snakes use constriction to subdue their prey, but there are some differences between boas and pythons!

There's something about animals at the top of the food chain that really rock! Aside from those with snake phobias (ophidiophobia—I had to look that up), who doesn't love these giants!
Thanks for the video.

I don't think that there are any recorded cases of an anaconda eating a jaguar. I remember only one in which the anaconda died after swallowing the jaguar.

Boas and pythons are classified within the great infraorder Henophidia, an infraorder containing the most primitive living snakes, a majority of snakes that use constriction as a killing technique are classified as henophidians.

I keep forgetting what happens with the egg shells. Like, does the mother lay the eggs internally, and push out the shells after the snakes hatch? Does she push them out alongside the babies? Or are the egg shells less leathery and more like jelly or sth so the anaconda hatchlings eat their own egg shells for extra nutrients? And how does the mother handle the hatchling's digestion? I mean do the hatchlings poop while in the """womb"""? If they do, does the mother poop out her babies' poop gradually, or does she birth the babies alongside their poop?
