When I saw aquas death it broke me, I felt a strong connection with this character. Both troubled by our past, losing a parent. I truly felt as if he was based on me because we sounded and acted the same way. I can’t believe how he died I wish it wasn’t him who died, because now I feel as if I’m missing a piece of myself, I feel like an incomplete human being. The day that this chapter of the manga had dropped I felt a sharp pain in my abdomen, I read through the chapter, and boom, he stabbed his abdomen and killed himself to protect his sister. Rest in peace Aquamarine Hoshino.

For me it would have been better if Goro had died but Aqua had survived, just imagine: they found Aqua on the shore, he is in dangerous situation but instead of dying he is in coma for like a couple of months, and Akane is talking that monologue to him while hes asleep and when Aqua finally wake up he loses his memories but has a chance to start all over again without being burdened by past. So he gets to be a pretty solid actor, starts a relationship with Kana finally, yes Ruby would lose Goro still but you have to agree this is the better ending for oshi no ko
