I didn't have the Quicktime in the Importer/Exporter list. I had to download the Quicktime on my computer, then it appeared in the list.
Then finally, I could play the file in Edius 8.

I used to work on a TV channel, we had licensed EDIUS 7, then we instantly migrated to 9 - everyone was shocked that EDIUS stopped supporting MOV and MP4. And yet everyone didn't know the problem is in only one checkbox! Thank you so much!

i have Edius 8.5.3 Version, it does not have the QuickTime in the importer/Exporter option :(

I have the Edius x workgroup Version 10.34.14011. I cannot find the QuickTime Mode in the importer/exporter. What can I do ? I am filming with the black Magic App. Sorry for my Bad englisch. Thank you

Wow! A legend indeed!
What about mp4 files that CAN be imported, thumbnail looks fine, however full black on the timeline.
Anyone else experience that?

I am having similar problems viewing Apple mp4 files on Edius 8.2 timeline and in bin and yet they play in Windows media player. I do not have quicktime in the settings menu so is there any way I can import it and should it work?

I can play MOV files, but not MOV files that I downloaded as part of an effects package. transitions, light flares etc. I'm not sure at all how to import these into Edius. They are not plug ins, just simple MOV files that I thought I could drag and drop in. Any advice?
