I'll be first to admit i'm wrong if turns out to be the case but Berge to me is an underwhelming deal and quite possibly a mistake. If we buy him i hope he does well but for 20 million and 100k a week that does not seem the best value, we could easily be stuck with a player and not be able to sell for even half what we paid in a year or two, especially on those wages. Also no big clubs seem in for Berge and not even a queue of midtable PL clubs circling. I'd much rather try and prioritize Fofana, as he's very much an all-around type CM attributes wise. Berge at 20 million plus 100k a week (who we would certainly be stuck with for a few years) is roughly a 35 million quid expenditure. 

Plus this "we'll get Wharton next summer" ; there is no indication we will actually get him or be able to afford Wharton next summer and there will be queue of top PL clubs in for him then. Not sure where that rationale is coming from suddenly.

All the 4 you mentioned are good. ETH will still determine the main role of the player. End of the day, which one of them is within United’s means and easier to nego. But I’m leaning toward Berger coz he has PL experience. Remember him outperforming Casemiro last season.

Phil Jones showed the way for these players. Don't move on keep your wages and F..k the club. I would not give them 12 months wages STOP them now and let them move for 50 per cent less than market value if necessary. Then we move on in a couple of years we will have finished with the DEADWOOD we have to accept this is the only way

Rumour has it that Murtough-nomics is playing here also. That there's a clause in his contract that if Man Utd trigger the one year clause in his contract when he's about to be a free agent to make him sellable, he is eligible to 50% of the transfer fee.

Sounds harsh, but half the reason why we are getting bent over by under prrforming players. Ridiculous.
