Aw shame we didn't get a lot from his purple form. Imagine a switching fighting style between the 2 like Dante's switching from Tricksters to Gunslinger to Swordsmaster

It would have been neat if they treated that purple form like Diamondhead from Ben 10. Able to use sharped gems for attacks, shooting, defense, etc

It would have been cool to see Ben be able to manipulate kenetic energy, I think that fits better with his original power set.

I mean, I would certainly call it an upgrade, the great pathos of Ben Grimm is that he is a man trapped in this rocky exterior and people misjudge him for being some kind of monster because of this and now he can change in and out of it at will with a new power set to boot.

They should’ve just turned him into Diamondhead/Chromastone from Ben 10, creating gems/stones as hard as his rocky exterior, light beams that can have various effects when shined through said gems or just being able to use these gems to, i dunno, create mini The Thing’s to make an army to fight for Ben? The possibilities really were endless here

Ben should've been able to manipulate the orange stones of his normal form. he could put them away but he could also manipulate them as controllable projectiles or ball his rocky mass into one fist for a hail Mary blow. the the entirty of something that can trade with the Hulk gets crammed in your face type thing

That's generally the issue with Ultimate F4. A lot of it had convoluted side plots but people kept coming back to see how far the Reed character would go. The Sue and Grimm relationship was equally wild as a random plot twist.

I think they switched him back to his more rocky form mainly for new readers, and people who weren't a fan of more Mr negative look, since the rocky look does have more recognizability then a glowing guy
