Man, the Mac core upgrade gives me hope. I was always a PC/DOS guy, but had that 1998 G3 I loved and got destroyed by my ex. Hoping I can at least get some of its charm on my MiSTer is cool

I first played Crystal Castles at Retro World Expo and was so bummed to find that there wasn’t a MiSTer core when I came home. I can’t believe my luck, thank you to the developers!

The first time I played Crystal Castles was at home in mid-late 80's with the Atari 2600, loved to play it, then years later I discovered there was an Arcade version, I just love those sound effects

I tested the outrun core and turbo outrun with my madcats steering wheel for PlayStation 2 and it works, it also works with a g29. Pretty awesome!

Man, I miss the good old days of when video game consoles worked straight out the box & never needed the internet just to get it working.

I hope NBA Jam is being worked on, that would be awesome!

I'd love to see a tutorial video providing a step by step setup to use a logitech g29 wheel for Outrun.

I am not convinced the Mac II/Basilisk II core is using the FPGA at all. Where did you find confirmation of this?
In the video, it is shown to be using and getting the performance of a full 68040, which the Amiga core can't even do right now--that alone would be a major advance to the platform. Per the Github, this project has been around for about 2 years with no updates, and unfortunately the documentation isn't great. All I can find is that it's not using JIT (Just in time translation) but that seems to have been developed for the x86 ports.
Totally up for there being a Mac II core for the MiSTer, and this is totally usable and useful on the MiSTer even if it's just fully emulated, but I'm just not sure we can call this hybrid emulation yet.
Digging through the Github, it looks more like an ARM/Linux port with a MiSTer setup utility.

How come you never mention the other CoCo 3 core? It's older and more mature than the one being pushed now but it seems to be ignored.

wait, can you actually play MacPlus in this Mac II core? MacPlus hasn't really got much support at all and there's many things wrong with it, like many floppies don't show up in the OS desktop when you insert them on MiSTers menu.
