EmiratesGBC May 2020 Technical Webinar | Energy Modelling of Net Zero Buildings

Several studies, research and reports has established that global warming is leading to climate change. It should become imperative that cities are powered through clean and renewable sources of energy. As this principle is embraced by countries and cities globally, building designers have a integral role to design buildings that are as energy efficient as possible. However, it is also important to establish an appropriate benchmark to allow evaluation of design principles against suitable baselines for Facilities Management teams.

On May 5th, EmiratesGBC corporate member, Buro Happold, facilitated a technical webinar which gave an overview of energy modelling for net zero buildings. The webinar was hosted under the EmiratesGBC's Net Zero Centre of Excellence program. The webinar also shared industry best practices and discussed key lessons learned to minimize the performance gaps between energy models and real operation of buildings.
