I honestly didn’t know how to feel at the end of Verity. I got the bonus chapter and it was actually useful because it made me think about Jeremy as a character a little more. Overall a good book but definitely twisted!

I kinda liked Ben idk. Prefer Ledger or Atlas. But Ben kinda did turn me off by what he did

Her books aren't really all that bad
Her book boyfriends are....
And it's fine to have Toxic male live interests BUT we need to make sure the readers know that the author has made Toxic love interests for portrayal and situational awareness NOT to normalise them

(Idk if CoHo knew she was making abusive males..but since she called out Ryle's behaviour I think she is improving so that's a plus but it still breaks my heart seeing people calling Ryle, Miles, Jeremy, Ben etc...romantic.

I fully get the fact there were moments they were sweethearts, I was fully taken in by Ryle and his Character at the rooftop before it went south. Then I contemplated and felt sad why this character turned this way...I wished there was a different ending and all but we must accept the fact that his abusive side was also a part of him. He was harming Lily and she couldn't afford to stay only thinking of his good points...she would've ended up emotionally numb and dead otherwise. Physically dead too if he pushed her too hard down the stairs again.

As much as I feel for these boys because they have these sides of them because of their trauma...does this give them the right to give others trauma? It'll be an endless cycle if you are to heal on the price of other's hurt and that is never the answer.
