Low income people are like predators. these units are very nice, but once they move in, these apartment buildings start to fall apart over the years.

A bus to Florida is cheaper. just tell them that Florida is warm and it doesn't rain half the year. You're doing them a favor.

Why are you all pandering servants to a bunch of people wacked out on drugs and refusing to work? Tell them either leave, or clean up your act, or prepare to be incarcerated. Why do the rest of us have to carry their weight in ever-increasing numbers?

But existing homeowners refusing to allow low-income housing be built in their neighborhood is how we got here. Unless what needs to be done can be forced on communities it will never happen. "Let's talk about building low income housing in six months and see what the public input is like" seems like just a way of justifying why Seattle did nothing.

Their definition of what affordable housing is, is exactly the problem. Affording housing at minimum should be affordable to one individual making minimum wage. No more than 30% of a minimum wage workers should go to rent. Food transportation and healthcare will consume every dime of the remaining 70%. That has to be the formula. It cant be housing to make a profit. You build it and maintain it. You have to give people at the lowest income a path to housing. The stability that provides leads to people reaching higher. The ability to train or educate for a higher income. To dream and not be afraid of losing your home. Im homeless, which is i guess why the mayors office didnt have time to hear me. Just one more thing. There are far to many people getting fat(meaning getting big ass monthly paychecks) off the homeless crisis that havnt accomplished shit. As a democrat for 40+ years im embarrassed to see the year after year incompetance and special interest groups doing nothing but cashing them checks. I first came here 48 years ago. There were homeless people on the streets of seattle then. Now millions are being made off of the homeless crisis. But very very little is actually being done for the homeless. Its like criminally run charity where 98% of the money raised goes to administration cost(cashing them big paychecks). Peace everyone.

One more thing, this is for the people that think they are more intelligent than everybody else. When do you think they are going to freeze wages? And freeze food fuel healthcare cost literally everything?Cost of everything has to stop eventually. Im pretty sure its just around the corner. Its being talked about among the super rich.
