Advice for Gura:




When you need to solve a math task with "minus number", just solve it like usual and add minus to the result. For example 7-9 is just like 9-7 but you add minus after its done: -2
I always do those this way.

The 'ice cream cup' discussion reminds me of the vanilla they served back in Georgia at my elementary. I found out later on that my school was sourcing them from the local "Food Lion". It was a small town, so we had more regional stores.

I have a trick I do for negative numbers like 2 - 4. I switch it around and put a negative at the end. For example, 2 - 4 becomes 4 - 2 = 2 and then you add the negative sign to get -2. Always helps me do it faster and easier. Otherwise, my mind often tries to automatically switch it around without me realizing or it takes me far too long to figure it out.
