Thanks for the review. But I have a little hint: ICE is the abbreviation for Intercity-Express, so it's actually called I-C-E
I think every German gets ICE cold chills ;-)

Those Talent 2s have really become almost omnipresent in Germany, serving on roles from S-Bahn to Regional-Express. They come in many sizes and variants, from 2- to 6-part EMUs with VERY differing features inside. But overall they're cool trains. They are also used on my home town's S-Bahn-Network, and they do great there. Good acceleration and the top speed of 160kmh doesn't make them look completely out of place on a dedicated high speed line, which they use on a short stretch to get to Leipzig Airport. 😊

The "Loo Review" has to be my new favorite Dylan-ism

Very nice shots of the approach towards Munich. I forwarded your video to a friend who lives in Munich and he was also appreciative. Thanks!

This video gives me nostalgia, I’ve been to Munich many times and even once to lake starnberg. These places are wonderful and I wish to go back.

Germany has got incredible trains and amazing places to visit. Always wanted to go to Germany to explore what it has. Very good video.

What beautiful scenery! That seems like a great intercity, regional train. And you're right, Dylan, the large windows and open cars (not sure what else to call them) make the train feel bright and spacious.

Have a great weekend and see you next week!

BTW, congrats to you on hitting 100k followers!

I like that you cover many facets of train travel from long hauls to local trips like this. That was a well appointed train for such a short trip. Lake Starnberg is the lake where King Ludwig II of Bavaria (the castle-building king) died in what is still an unsolved mystery: murder or suicide. Back then it was called the Wurmsee.

Short, but sweet! See you Monday, Dylan!

That was short & sweet. I wouldn't like walking into a station that was a ghost town like that one. I was surprised at the cost for such a really short journey. You made me laugh out loud. Every
ones favorite part- the loo review. lol

Great review. I've been to Tutzing several times and find Lake Starnberg beautiful. The first time I went to Tutzing way back in 2002 I made the mistake of getting the S6 all the way instead of the Garmisch train. It is still a bit of a walk at Munich Hbf to and/from where the Tutzing bound trains go from though.

The Talent 2 is easily my favourite German EMU, because of their look as well as the many different liveries and unit lengths. The individual units come in either 2, 3, 4 or 5-car formations. My preference is the 4-car DB Regio one, though I quite like the 5-car National Express units too.

I'm pretty sure I know this Tutzing to München section already, because it's featured on the München to Garmisch-Partenkirchen route in Train Simulator. As for the Talent 2s, they're in TS as well, though I'm more familiar with the Train Sim World 2 version.

Also, Tutzing is the southern terminus of the München S-Bahn's S6 line.

Dylan, the man with the well-washed right hand!

That looked to be a nice commuter/regional train, I must say - better than a lot of the more regionalized services in the UK, that's for sure.
