Presented here is the complete unedited performance of Grover Washington, Jr. recorded live before a most enthusiastic hometown crowd at Philadelphia's Schubert Theater in 1981. Accompanied by an all-star band of fusion studio vets.

With an emphasis on material from his extremely popular Winelight album and unveiling new material destined for his Come Morning album later that year, Washington is captured near the peak of his powers here.

Highlights include stirring renditions of Bill Withers' "Just The Two Of Us" featuring Zack Sanders guesting on lead vocals, an original spin on Bob Marley's "Jammin," and to close the set, a highly improvised performance of his signature composition"Mr. Magic."

Recorded on June 27, 1981 at The Schubert Theatre in Philadelphia, Pa.

Priceless gem! Grover often played the national anthem at the Sixers games. Miss him so much ....RIP Mr. Magic, Ralph McDonald, Paul Griffin, Eric Gale and Richard Tee...our musical ancestors!

This is the Concert with Steve Gadd. From one drummer to another, in my opinion, don't get any better then this.

Eric Gale is the equivalent of a "sleeper" race car. He's very chill but can play killer chops effortlessly. Not to mention his tone
