nah, my teacher would have called me out on my bullshit real quick, like, he just sat there when i started to stress cry once. when i stopped, he told me to play it again, and i played and imagined pouring all of my rage at him into it, and when i was done, he nodded and applauded my very passionate performance and dismissed me for the day. best teacher i ever had.

I’m a piano student and whenever i play a piece that is supposed to be loud she’s like “Where’s all of the dynamics? It need to be loud and BIG!” I just make it appear like im pressing hard on the keys and it works everytime
