Not only they screwed up the update and released it on a Friday but also pissed off every company that they provide their services to which would cause countless lawsuits and ultimately bankruptcy. So Crowdstrike potentially doomed their company

I worked for a company that refused to use test servers to test their updates. I remember there would be 200 calls in the queue and there were only 6 of us.😢

I work at UPS, the entire company went down, we were over 300 truckloads behind at my building and had to work Saturday, thanks Crowdstrike!

Nowhere near half of all computers, it was about 8.5 million and primarily businesses affected. That I would imagine doesn’t even count for 1%
