One man had been sleeping on a blow-up mattress outside the store for 22 hours. Shortages made the system difficult to buy in 2020, but some shoppers were determined.

Some places GameStop’s didn’t even have any. I heard back home they didn’t receive any deliveries of ps5s, only series x so they had to ask who was in line for ps5 and tell them to go home after they camped lol

This is soo sad. We're going through a nasty pandemic and people are just trying to get their minds out of this nasty situation. The situation now is that only rich kids can have the newest entertainment. The sad thing is- poorer neighborhoods are suffering the most during this pandemic, and now they have to sleep in the cold, not even 6 feet away from the next customer in order to enjoy the newest entertainment. Literally the person who suffers the most and waits the longest in the cold, and doesn't get any sleep is worthy of a PS5. The scalpers don't care about people- they can care less if they're taking away a piece of entertainment from somebody that really needs it to cope with the situation. There's several scalpers that have sold more than 20 units. They are taking from the poor and giving it to the rich during one of the worst crises in history.

If I really had to actually stay outside camp out in the cold for more than 24 hours, for a PlayStation, and got one. I would re-think my life and my life decisions up to this point as to what I’m doing and contemplate what I just had to endure to secure a console.
