Artificial Intelligence and criminal justice – new project of Professor Katalin Ligeti

The video presents the main idea of the project "Criminal Proceedings and the Use of AI: Challenges for Common Criminal Procedure Principles and the Principles of the Rule of Law" implemented at the @uni_lu by Professor Katalin Ligeti.
The project will answer many important questions stemming from the introduction of AI into the judicial setting, such as:
⦿ What are benefits and pitfalls of using AI in criminal proceedings?
⦿ To what extent does AI in criminal proceedings pose a risk to fair trial rights?
⦿ Is the application of AI-based tools within the criminal justice system compatible with the rule of law?
