I, and I am serious, use time travel to use vaults multiple times, the downside is that you don’t keep the items you get in the future

you can also buy 128 alt accounts since vaults can only store 128 uuids, and if there's more, the first one has to go and that way you can remove your uuid from the vault's data

There is another way. Force close the game after about 4 items pop up. It time based so it may be different on different platforms. It helps if you have lag which if you box in all the spawners you will get a lot of lag because when you reopen the game it remembers that you had mob existing but it doesn't remember spawning them and it spawns more.

Ominous vaults are completely random even on different save files. So, if you only wanted a mace or some other item without erasing save data, you could make copies of your world and open the ominous vaults until you find what you need. A few people have also commented this, but if you are playing on a device that lets you use guest accounts such as xbox or switch, you could use those accounts to open ominous vaults

If you also have a spare controller you can play in a guest account without signing in, open the vault and log out. After that you can repeat since guest data is wiped completely every time they leave

This would probably reset tames to, so be careful. Actually anything tied to your player would be gone.
