MAJOR DEVELOPMENTS! Williams Nwaneri, the no. 7 recruit in America last ago, just transferred to Nebraska with 4 years left to play. Adam breaks down the Huskers DEFENSIVE FRONT 7 right now/what it could look like in the NEAR FUTURE. HEINRICH HAARBERG has a new position & also, Adam believes Haarberg is a MAJOR CHESS piece in DANA HOLGORSEN'S OFFENSE. Finally, Matt Rhule DOUBLES DOWN on a "year 3 jump!"

What do you all think of the list of young/very talented players I listed for Nebraska to start the show? Building blocks! CarrikerChronicles.com

1) A jump is not beating yourselves in ANY game. It's beating the Minnesotas, Michigan State's, and Maryland's every single time played. It is not "chasing three", but extending leads so games don't come down to freak chance. It's beating both Iowa and Wisconsin convincingly. And it's 9-3 or better. 2) Based on last season's underperformance, I'd have to say no. But hoping Dana's Offense, Raiola's growth, and a new influx of talent do result in it. 3) Haarberg will do great in the bowl game!

A jump would be winning those games we are supposed to

A year 3 jump is:
1. Not having meltdowns in games we should win.
2. Understanding who are best players are and playing them. At the same time sitting starters who arent performing.
3. Dont get blown out in any game we lose.

Semi related, one improvement I noticed this past season was the many, many times I was anticipating a penalty flag against us, there wasn’t one. I’ve not done a comprehensive review of the stats, but I bet we improved greatly in that area, especially in key moments.

Haarberg is a class act so I hope he gets to a solid nfl career after he has a great next season

I'm so happy for Heinrich he's been a class act the whole time he's been here.Maybe they can use him in a way that will help the offense and maybe give him a shot at going to the NFL. He's just an outstanding young man.

8 wins, 1 against a top 20 team, and win a one score game in the last 3 minutes

8 wins minimum before the bowl game would be a jump. 9 would be solid. Pretty damn awesome getting Williams 😎🎈🌽👍

Having talent like H.H. and sitting him ...is a testament to what in the hell we're we doing....Everytime he touched the ball it was like everyone held their breath cause you never know when he will break one and take it all the way.

I'm blaming Satt for the lack of use of players on offense. He was calling the plays.

Let’s not talk up the team all summer till we can see how good they are on the field

Haarberg is versatile but people need to really chill with Taysom Hill comparisons. It’s almost like these same people forgot they were bitching about him as QB last season, and that was after Sims was benched.

Going into this season with the talent we had I said we have to get to a Bowl Game as the floor. We did it, people aren’t jumping up and down but better than not making a bowl like in the past. This upcoming season: I think the floor should be 8 wins so 8-4 regular season. Seems like the defensive side of the ball will be completely new so at this point unknown. The biggest upside to the ceiling is Raiola in his 2nd year, Dana as OC for full year, Emmett Johnson back and elusive, Dowdell to pound it in, we will have talent in receivers. Points per game has to be biggest jump then. Low end 33, mid 35, high 37. Even with defense being unknown that will win us most Big10 games by far. Very similar to this season we come out of the box hot, stumble along the way, maybe split late part of the season with the tough teams. If we don’t get to at least 8 then more ammo for Raiola to ditch. How do we not win just 2 more games? If Ruhle wants the hot seat temp to never get hot, win 8 games. Trust the no-name defensive coaches but all former NFL guys attracts talent. And remember, beer will be sold at Memorial Stadium so the biggest jump might come from the fan base. No more country club atmosphere, let’s make it intimidating!! Let’s Go!!!

For me, the "jump" will be playing for the conference championship. Beating a team by 50 when they are overmatched. Not playing down to the opponent's level but dictating the game from start to finish. We had 30 years of 9 wins when only 12 games were available. Now it's 12 minimum plus a bowl and conference championship so I would say 9-4 is the floor for an acceptable season once we make "the jump".

I don’t have any aspects on the football team. We have been burned and angry for quite a long time. I will say, Coach Rhule is our Coach! I believe if we are winning more games, I would say 8 wins is a jump. LOVE LOVE that finally Hinerich is gonna be able to showcase his skills!! I am with you Adam, He deserves to play! In every game full time! Go Big Red! Always Remember To Throw The BONES!!!! 😅

I’m going to say it every time Haarberg knows plays he would make the best linebacker. TE would be great cause you would always have to worry about the trick play.

Imagine HH out on a screen, but actually receives a lateral or backwards pass. A couple runs of this with a single receiver running a go route.

As a Saints fan, please use Haarburg like the Saints use Taysom Hill! Ive been preaching this since mid season!

Don't forget, HH is a crowd favorite, makes it even more of a head scratcher he hasn't been used. The NIL money obligates coaches to play the money players.
