Why did they let the track get so overgrown with weeds?

That track on platform 4 might be very old and what's with the new M-set style doors on the T-sets?

One fun fact with Erskineville, if the T3 line is undergoing trackwork, this station and St Peters will have T4 line services sometimes stop instead of the usual T3 services. Had it happen exactly on the day I posted this comment because the T3 line was undergoing trackwork between the city and Sydenham.
