@Alex... Did you hear the story this week about the Leucistic Dungeness Crab caught in my hometown, Sooke. Commercial fisherman pulled him up and threw him back 5 times, before they decided to call Shaw Centre for the Salish Sea. They decided the public needed to see this 1 : 1mil to 6mil anomaly and now he lives safe from predators at their public aquarium. Cheers! ... Pete

Can Leucistic just start on a guppy line? I do not know what breeds were mixed to produce the line White Cross Endler. They're peach with orange along the tail color in eyes and has a green sheen. Original line looks way different. I've been culling I've gotten about 8 separated. Interesting stuff.

Good video with great information. I work a sturgeon hatchery and find babies that stay significantly whiter in color. I’ve been quick to call them albino due to me not knowing of leucism. The fish are white with slight yellow or peach hints and the eyes are develop normally. Is this leucistic?

Enjoyed your video! Got me thinking about breeding projects I want to do when space becomes available to do so. Is the guanin produced by wild golden tetras as a parasite defense same as you mentioned in this video? Have you ever seen an albino or melanistic zebra danio?

I have corridors that were labeled as albino but they're actually yellow but they do have the red eye

I got just regular what they call feeder fish from a petstore.. well they r in my pond . They are gold fish.. one is normal color orange and then black eyes.. the other is white silvery with red eyes .. is this albino

I understand albino but not leusitic. What would happen if you take long fin lemon bristle nose and breed to leusitic short fin . Would fry be leusitic? Would they have long fins ? Help.

Hey I really appreciate you sharing this. I have a some of platinum albino blue guppies.. I really don't know the correct name.. they are Snow White and their tails have a very light hint of blue shimmer. And then I have some beautiful albino gold Galaxy....again, I'm not sure if I'm saying the name right... They came from LRB. and I was wondering what it would be like to cross them🤔.. I'll probably have to re-watch this video again. it was fascinating because I want a white/albino line of fish.. I also only have a few females and wondered what would happen if I cross them to some colored males..hmmmm I'm going to go do some homework 😂 thanks for sharing have a good Fourth of July!
