Today, we’re going to talk about berberine. People all over social media are calling berberine a natural Ozempic, but if you do a quick Google search, you may have doubts.

There are several claims that berberine can give you diarrhea, gas, constipation, and stomachaches, and can even be fatal in large amounts. There are also claims that berberine can’t work as a substitute for Ozempic because there isn’t enough research.

Berberine is a phytochemical found in various plants that has numerous health benefits, especially for blood sugar. It has even been compared to Metformin, a popular drug used to treat type 2 diabetes.

The potential health benefits of berberine:
• Helps with insulin resistance
• Helps lower blood sugar
• Helps to activate vitamin D
• Supports longevity
• Has antiarrhythmic properties
• Helps decrease the risk of a fatty liver
•Has neuroprotective properties
• Helps make chemotherapy/radiation more efficient
• Reduces gluconeogenesis

Many health problems are related to problems with the mitochondria. Berberine increases the number of mitochondria (mitochondrial biogenesis), helps clean up damaged mitochondria, and makes mitochondria more efficient.

Berberine, in small amounts, has very few, if any, side effects! Combined with keto, intermittent fasting, and exercise, you could experience significant results when taking berberine.

Very much enjoyed this video. Do you make a supplement with a higher dose of Berberine? I noticed you offer on your website a product that only has 446 mg with other ingredients, but you mentioned n this video one should take 1000-1500 mg (1-1.5 grams). Wondering also if I took three of your Blood Sugar Supplement would I be getting too much of the other ingredients?

Been taking an 8 hour Berberine for 2 weeks with the Panax Ginseng. I had a fasting blood sugar 14 days ago of 221. Yesterday it was 96. I have never had these results with Metformin which gave me raging Diarrhea and almost nothing with Glipizide. I hope you create this supplement together. I am on Keto. Went from 225 to 218 so losing weight as well. Awesome video!

I have been harvesting barberry branch and roots and berries in autumn for a few years, making decoctions and drinking the tea and have never felt any ill effects at all. I don't know how much berberine I get on a daily basis but have never been harmed by it. I drink it as a daily tonic; didn't know about its effects on glucose until recently but, no matter, I will continue drinking barberry tea.

I, have NAFLD (Fatty acid liver)
Use berberine, milk thistle and red yeast rice (gærris)
Combined with low aerobic and strength training, 7-8 hrs of sleep and IMF (18/6) with low carbs, high fibre and healthy fats + protein. Fat is flying off the most stubborn parts of my body (belly mostily)
Tremendous effect...no side effects

Honest Review: I've been taking berberine for 3 weeks now. It WORKS. I'm not a diabetic I'm taking this solely for bloating and weight-loss. I'm down 8lbs. My appetite is low. I don't feel like I'm in a food coma after eating. Side effects for me is nausea first 2 days. I drastically ate less these two days. I also experienced some stomach upset and became very regular in the bathroom.

I'm no longer bloated after meals or when I wake up in the morning. My stomach drastically went down these past 3 weeks. I did not exercise or changed my meals these past 3 weeks but I've been eating less due to appetite being suppressed. I take natures bounty the one that says 1000mg on the bottle but I take 1500mg-2000mg a day. I plan to stick with berberine because after meals I don't feel sluggish and bloated anymore I actually for once feel more awake and energized. If you're looking to loose weight def incorporate this supplement. I prefer taking it after I eat my meals but can be taken 30 min before meals I think(do your research on that or read the label on the bottle) I'll give another update 3 weeks from today

Assuming that Berberine is derived from Berberis (likely Berberis darwinii), permaculture gardeners are already recommending this plant is included in permaculture schemes, since the berries are edible.
Looking at the tablets, I noticed they are brilliant yellow, much like the roots of Berberis darwinii, Mahonia media (which also produces edible blue berries) and nettle roots (also said to have medical properties).
I know nettle roots can be made into a tea or tea blend, and I believe I have heard the same said of Berberis (at least the species I have mentioned).
Luckily, I bought 30 of these plants while they were still very cheap during the pandemic. Haven't seen them around so much of late, but I will be taking care of that berry crop this year, that's a certainty.
