Im not even a Christian but I read "Appalachian Orthodoxy" and got me interested. Beautiful story. I love tradition and I admire the beauty of the ancient traditions of Orthodoxy. One thing I pick up on is unlike western Catholics, the Orthodox seem to cherish their traditions.

I'm the son of rural Appalachians, whose families farmed and mined coal, who loves the timeless landscape of West Virginia. And I'm a Presbyterian brother in Christ who is increasingly attracted to the unshakeable truths and traditions of Orthodoxy in this darkening world.
