UK returns 77 stolen Angkor crown jewels to Cambodia | World News | WION

Cambodia received never-before-seen 77 pieces of Angkorian jewellery after it resurfaced in London. The collection features crowns, necklaces, anklets which ranks from 9th to 14th AD and is said to go on display in Cambodia's national museum.

An antique smuggler died and the family found these and returned them back to Cambodia. This has nothing to do with the British government apart from them being the middle man involved in returning the items.
