Her mother dropped her off to hike alone during frigid weather conditions on a notoriously difficult trail? Really?? At no point did mom try to dissuade her, huh? I see Emily was under her own deadline, hike a certain amount of peaks before reaching her 20th bday. Common sense never entered her mind that this was unattainable and a dangerous undertaking alone in wintertime. It's sad she was so young. We all make mistakes. But the moms part is inexcusable!

I have a theory! Emily committed the Idaho murders & then set off to hike in New Hampshire to disappear & escape the law. Only problem, out on the trail her foot got stuck in a hole & she couldn't get it out! THEN, THEY EVENTUALLY FOUND HER DEAD!!! UH HUH!!

Roads leading to Campground should have been closed off by authorities that Sunday morning, since weather reports were clear on a massive cold front moving across the country. A full investigation into possible negligence on the part of authorities in the area.
