ps1 = metal gear solid, ps2 = Shadow of the Colossus, ps3 = the last of us, all this games are the best games of the 5th 6th 7th gens, i feel sorry for xbox gamers.

Shadow of the colossus is truly EPIC in every since of the word. I remember as a kid seeing the game but overlooking it until I got older and checked some of the best ps2 games and this one came up. Haunting is the word, powerful, epic, a journey that you can never forget. I got a great deal for it too, 25 cents used, worth every penny and more.

Good choice IGN, Shadow of Colossus is a beautiful game in every aspect. Everyone has their own opinion and we should respect that, I don't have a favourite PS2 game because there are so many titles that are amazing, its hard to choose just one. FFX, Kingdom Hearts1&2, God of War, Shadow of the colossus, San Andreas, RE4.. and Many more!!

@Jort007 Can you describe how the game made you feel? What emotions did it tingle in you and how did it do them? How does travelling across vaste expanses of dead land over and over again for example, provide any sort of emotion other than boredom for the player?

This is one of the many, many games I greatly regret not being able to play when it first came out - and I still haven't to this day :(
I finally got the HD remake for the PS3 so it is certainly in my next 5 games to play through.

I don't know...to me....Shadow is like...the best game ever created, everything is perfect:
Gameplay - Really realistic and original gameplay
OST - I don't even need to talk, is PERFECT
Atomesphere - Incredible, the game hits your soul
Graphics - Awesome, great art production
Is just perfect

gonna have to agree with this, seeing as im more used to playing next gen 360, ps3 and wii games now, the fact that that this game still managed to blow me away is really quite impressive, and btw, i saw the full 100 list on the website and MGS3 was #2, definitely agree with that one aswell

Hard to argue here, SoTC was fantastic. Anyone who says otherwise either never played it or never got passed the first boss. In either case, you should go back and play it (or try it again) because it was phenomenal.

I completely agree that Shadow of the Colossus was the best game in PS2 history. God of War was big, MGS was epic, but Shadow of the Colossus was something else. It did what no other game ever tried to do, and engrossed me in what I think was the one of the greatest games of all time. I'll never back down from this statement, so don't even bother trying to argue it.
