My head canon is that that the opening view of Hyrule Field shows what it looks like when Link grew up in a world where he stopped Ganondorf as a child.

Given how massive Biggoron is, I have to wonder why he isn't out there smashing Ganon's forces to smithereens like a kaiju.

I’ve always noticed the bridge looked fixed as a kid in the intro comparing to gameplay. My headcanon was this was taken place after Ganondorf’s defeat.

1:28 That's crazy. That tree is so iconic but I never noticed it didn't really exist.

I have been with depression these days, but as silly as it sounds when I get a notification of one of your "cool things" I start thinking which one is the one I don't know and feel a little excited to know. The first one I already knew it, but with that intro sound you make me cry remembering the old times playing these game originally.
Thank you a lot.

They didn't have to make Link's sneezes so cute, but they did. Always love to see him sneeze.

Growing up, my sister and I thought that the opening scene was one of Link's dreams before Ganondorf started to make his move. Free from the confines of Kokiri Forest, grown up beyond his current state... but because he never knew what the world would look like, of course it wouldn't match with the actual layout of Hyrule Field.

Maybe we were on to something after all.

I can't belive how there are still so many things to discover in this game. I most of these were things I never noticed before

The fact that the fog clears after the water temple really makes you wonder how much thought Nintendo may have put into having Zora's domain thaw out. Wonder if it would have allowed for a few new discoveries, or just Kakariko and Goron city where we could once more see NPCs. Would be interesting if something like the freezing happens in Tears of the Kingdom, could be a great way to fulfill that lifelong dream of many fans who thought there was a great secret held beneath the ice that froze the Zoras

I've always thought that the intro represents link having one last ride with epona through hyrule as an adult, zelda didn't teleport him to the past, she just sent him to the temple of time to put the master sword back in the pedestal, but before that he probably just wanted to see everything before going back (that's my head canon)

Nearly a quarter century old and still I learn more. Thanks for this!

0:27 It is possible that the intro sequence displays adult Link riding through Hyrule Field _after_ the events of having defeated Ganon, travelled back in time, and alerted Zelda... In which case, it is actually the Hero of Time we see traversing the meadows before the sunrise...

The cutscene in Kakariko is most likely they had an earlier version of Adult Kakariko with different npcs in it, but then it was changed partway through development. And most likely they didn’t bother to go back and remove unseen npcs from a cutscene of an earlier build of Kakariko.

I like that Kakariko village looks different during the cutscene of Death Mountain being cleansed. It shows that it is indeed an active town while Link is away.

Don't some of the rock cricles in the game have secret grottos in the center by bombing them if I recall correctly? I wonder if there is a grotto hidden where those rocks are located in the intro.

I find the NPCs in that Kakariko cutscene to be interesting, especially since some of them are only seen in the end credits, during the Adult Time

Hearing that intro music again is so nice.
I need to play this game again.
