When keyboardist HIROSHI SATO passed away in 2012, TATSURO said the following in memory of him in a special radio program for SATO.
”I am very grateful to HIROSHI SATO for recording my solo albums and many of MARIYA TAKEUCHI's works in the mid-1970s.　
I think he is one of the leading keyboard players in postwar Japan. He was one of the keyboard players I most admired.”
”He really helped me a lot in the creation of my pieces. Without SATO's piano, much of my work would not have been possible.”

He was so struck by SATO's piano when he first saw his play that TATSURO hoped one day to have him play it in one of his compositions.　he said,
”The first time I saw HIROSHI SATO play piano was when I was still in a band called "SUGAR BABE".
There was a small live house called “SHINJUKU PIT INN ” during the SUGAR BABE concert, and I saw him play for the first time.
It was a unit called “ORIGINAL THE DYLAN” from OSAKA,
Toshiaki Hayashi on drums, Akihiro Tanaka on bass, Chosei Ishida on guitar, and HIROSHI SATO on keyboards.
Their performance was a shock to those of us who had been in bands in Tokyo. (I was so shocked that I could not sleep all night).
Especially, HIROSHI SATO on keyboard and Chosei Ishida on guitar were doing things normally that we had given up on from the beginning, saying “It would be impossible for Japanese people to do” (laugh). That was a great shock for me.
After that, HIROSHI SATO formed a band called “HUCLE BACK” with SHIGERU SUZUKI (ex-HAPPY END).

From that time on, I knew that if I ever became a solo artist, I would definitely ask HIROSHI SATO to play keyboards.
And it came true with my second album “SPACY” in 1977.
My first session with him was my song “LOVE SPACE".
