Learn how to make fabric baskets that are great for storing craft supplies and all kinds of items around your home.

SUPPLIES
=========
-Cut 2 from main outside fabric – Use something medium weight like cotton decorator fabrics.
-Cut 2 from cotton lining fabric – I used a quilting cotton for the lining of my samples.
-Cut 2 from heavy fusible interfacing – For the large and extra large baskets, you will need extra heavy interfacing for it to keep its shape. For the smaller baskets, a regular heavy interfacing is fine.

I usually don't add comments, but this is one of the best tutorials I have seen online. Easy to follow, straight to the point, edited well. Very professional, thank you!

Thank you very much for your very clear video. Following your instructions I made two baskets (22 cm, adjusting the corner size). I repurposed old jeans (so I decided to skip the fusible) and an old pair of light summer shorts for the lining. They came out very nice. Sorry I can't upload a pic. 👏❣

Thank you for this excellent tutorial without all the unnecessary chatter. How you have any "unlikes" at all, is questionable. Again, thank you!

Love it 💝 I’ve been looking for a little stash bag to go next to the sewing machines for the 4H girls I’ve been privileged to help learn to sew. Cups, bowls, etc. float all over the place. These will make cute gifts for the end of the sessions! Thank you so much 😊

I’m brand new to sewing, but this was so easy to follow and so fun to make! I have no sense of size for finished products so I made the small thinking it’d be small 🤣 I was surprised at how big it turned out! I really love it! I’ll need to make the extra small next!

Just finished making several of these handy baskets. This is an excellent, straight forward pattern. However, I made a few modifications. I fused mid-weight interfacing to the outer cotton fabric then layered it on top of a piece of batting and a piece of muslin the same size. Using my walking foot, I stitched around the outside edges and did some light quilting focused on the center of the square which is the section that shows the most once the basket is complete. When sewing the squares together, I stitched around the three sides then marked the corner squares to cut out afterwards. The result is a very sturdy basket that stands up quite well. I created an XXS small size using 9” squares with 2” cutouts.
