We Found Paradise in Southern Thailand 🇹🇭 (Railay Beach, Krabi)

After a quick stop in Ao Nang, Krabi it’s time to fuel up, soak up some of the gorgeous surroundings, and head to Railay! There’s not much pre-planning to be done here, so we just head towards the beach and hope for the best! Just like most travel days in Thailand, where there’s a will, there’s a way! We are ready for a gorgeous sunny day in Railay, here in the sunny south of Thailand 😍🏝️

Curries as street food are in Khao Gaeng stands - typically a place with lots of pots lined up, you open the lids to check inside and then you’ll be asked how many scoops of rice you want, you can have on 1 plate (cheaper) or rice on the plate and a choice of curries in little bowls. You’ll find this all over the south of Thailand

17:19 The orange tint in Pad Thai typically comes from fresh red chili in the sauce, or sometimes from shrimp tomalley, which is the fat from the shrimp heads. Sometimes Pad Thai appears brown due to the caramelisation of palm sugar. :)

I used to stay in Krabi town, and take a boat down the river to come around the back side of Railay. Frankly Railay is well past its prime in terms of now it is just a resort enclave. Fine if thats what you are looking for. Used to be a bit more of a rustic place.

This is awesome! Ao Nang is almost our 2nd home, we have been there about 12 times now, and we are going back again next October. We have also been to Railay many times, I almost feel homesick when I see your videos....

That internet connection is better than my speed here in NYC. The hotel pool looks amazing. I bet the rooms with pool access right off the balcony must cost a bit more. Great vlog guys.

Lovely video as always 😊 we loved the look of Sea Seeker and booked 4nights there. Word of caution to others however, 1 night is enough in this hotel as there is a lot of noise from the other guests. The walls are very thin, we could literally hear the person in the next room snoring, loud noise from the corridor and light coming in as there was a gap between the floor and the door . Also, not the friendliest of staff for what we are used to in Thailand.

The views are gorgeous, we were in a delux cliff view room and the breakfast also.

We stayed here in December 2024 for context.

Even if you're not a climber, you should try mountain climbing, a half day climb is more than enough. Railay is world renowned for it's mountain climbing and the climbing shops will cater to all types of skill levels. There's also a cool viewpoint climb that you can arrange that has an awesome view of the west beach (not to be confused with the treacherous viewpoint hike of the east beach/lagoon hike).
