I had this happen at the beginning of my MS journey 21 years ago. I hope you're doing okay with it. I wish I could remember more about it. 20+ years ago with MS brain and I can't help you much, lol!

I had this symptom… though still trying to figure out if it is MS related since I have yet to be properly diagnosed. I will say however, it’s the kind of pain that knocks me off my feet. I experienced it 4 times over the last 20 years.

If it happens on the rare occasion like me there really isn’t anything you can do about it but I found rubbing my neck and as much of the area where there is pain involved helps. It also helps to just take in slow breaths in and out and try and stay calm. It quickly passes.

I did hear though that there might be medication available if it happens frequently and it’s negatively impacting your quality of life. Just knowing that it quickly passes helps a lot to basically just bear through it. I wouldn’t necessarily recommend taking medication if it’s so infrequent but if it happens on a daily basis speak with your MS team as there just might be treatment available.

I just found your channel and I’m excited! I have primary progressive ms. My neck is always hurting, but it’s different. It’s really stiff, it’s not a sharp pain. I need to massage it regularly to make it feel alright.

I do have those neck things. It's almost like an electric painful shot down the side of my neck. 🤔
