Mushroom Falls - Opening

Mario & Luigi go on a brand new adventure!
After having saved the Mushroom Kingdom for the nth time, the bros were contacted by Professor E.Gadd to assist him in a scientific expedition to the old and abandoned Mushroom Kingdom (now called Mushroom Falls).
They’re helped by Vivian the Shadow Siren who wears a strange magic amulet, and Toad the brave driver of the EGadd Machine: their headquarters.
Together, they’ll go on their greatest adventure yet!
Mushroom Falls is a place full of secrets and danger. It hides the clue to a mysterious question written in a journal they found there: is all of their adventure just a play?

This animation is the opening of a fake Mario series based on Gravity Falls.
I had the idea to do it for a long time (when Luigi’s Mansion 3 came out) but I wanted to have sufficient skills before doing it.
I wanted this project to be my greatest animation yet, and it took me 3 months to complete it! Its purpose was to show a glimpse of what a modern Mario show could’ve been.
One of the key themes was considering all Mario secrets like glitches, obscure references, or some theories being canon.
Most people won’t notice those easter eggs but congrats if you got all of them!

As an artist, Mario was and is still a great inspiration for me.
It’s thanks to Super Mario Galaxy that I decided at the age of 9 to become an artist.
So this project was also a tribute to this wonderful series that shaped my art career!

I SO need this as an actual show. Seeing the mysteries of a far-forgotten kingdom, possibly stemming from an origin of all known history of the mushroom kingdom, finding all dangers and trechory awaits the Mario Bros...I JUST NEED THIS MAN! Don't hold out on me like this...

I love how, when introducing Mario and Luigi in place of Dipper, you used both of his motions for the character it fit, like Mario looking around with the torch, and Luigi fumbling with his after seeing a spooky monster. it's such a great detail.

E. Gadd being Grunkle Stan actually makes a ton of sense considering how both E Gadd and Grunkle Stan are morally grey characters who do questionable things despite being heroes at the end of the day. Anyways, absolutely phenomenal job, dude. As a fan of both Mario and Gravity Falls, I am in LOVE with this.

A Mario & Luigi game, where they travel to this kind of abandoned looking town full of wooden ruins and weird mystic shrines, while everything is pretty over grown being inside a forest, and are guided by E. Gadd, and even though the town looks abandoned with everything being overgrown it still has this really nice community of people and a mysterious background which we learn about through the game, would definitely be an awesome game. 10/10 concept imo.

Dang it! Now I want to a series about this version of the Mario Bros. I mean you had aviator Daisy, Prep boy Waluigi and Anchor/Capt.Scruffy?? (I'm just calling him Capt. Lou) just to name a few. And a billon bonus points for using Dimentio for the Bill fill in, that's just perfect.
It's masterful blend of all things Mario and Gravity Falls, Bravo!
