"Την φωτοφόρον νεφέλην" is a post-byzantine kalophonic heirmos composed by Balasios the Priest (late 17th century) in first mode. The hymnological text is written by Andrew bishop of Crete (660-740).
From Gerasimos Papadopoulos' album "Byzantine Hymns" (2022), which is an artistic reconstruction of seven byzantine hymns recorded in five-line Partes notation in the manuscript Sinai 1477 (mid-18th century), probably on the basis of chanting by an Athonite monk.

Τὴν φωτοφόρον νεφέλην, ἐν ᾗ ὁ πάντων Δεσπότης, ὡς ὑετὸς ἐξ οὐρανοῦ, ἐπὶ πόκον κατῆλθε, καὶ ἐσαρκώθη δι' ἡμᾶς, γενόμενος ἄνθρωπος ὁ ἄναρχος, μεγαλύνομεν πάντες, ὡς Μητέρα, τοῦ Θεοῦ ἡμῶν ἁγνήν.
