Colour - Dark purple with penetrating black hues

Bouquet - Lifted aromas of black fruits and dense bramble characters are complimented by appealing oak derived nuances of mocha and spice. Decanted and poured in the glass introduces heightened aromatics with a subtle earthiness.

Palate - This is a full bodied, rich and intense Shiraz with powerful dark fruits and savoury flavours. Lifted spice intertwines with coating tannins that carry a generosity of fruit sweetness and length across the palate. The combination of natural acid, velvet tannins, fruit intensity and integration of oak work together to create an outstanding wine from a fantastic vintage.

After a year of oak maturation, every barrel of Shiraz across our estate grown vineyards was tasted to select only the best parcels to be put aside. Another tasting after two years, ensured only our premium barrel parcels went into our signature series blend.

The result is a wine that shows the power and depth of character that can be created from our premium Penwortham vineyard.

With 30% New French oak and 70% second-season French Oak, the wine has layering of texture, mouth coating tannins, earthy chocolate richness and juicy ripe plum and blackberry characters backed up with liquorice and earthy notes.

Double-decanting will allow this structured wine to be approachable now or with careful cellaring, drink up to 2030.
