You do realize the Queen Mary had enough lifeboats *because* of the Titanic, right? Shouldve compared it to ships at the time like Mauretania instead.

Both ships are legends, but Titanic was, as you said, a Tragedy. The Queen Mary is a hero and the only pre WW2 liner in existence.

It's luck. RMS Olympic which was Titanic 's sister was nicknamed old reliable. Olympic was a Troop ship in WW1. She took a torpedo and it wasn't known until drydocking after the war. She also sank an enemy sub by ramming. Qween Mary sank her own destroyer escort by ramming killing 347 crew.

If not for the Titanic sinking the design lessons learned and safety laws written wouldn't have been implemented in the Qween Mary. It's a silly comparison. They were both the best in their day.
