EHX Superego: Pedals in effects loop or not? (Demo)

In this video we will do a comparison between pedals in the effects loop to running pedals in series with the Electro Harmonic Superego.

If they are in the loop you can freeze the drone and play over it with a different sound - you can also feed into a separate amp from the loop output - neither is inherently better just different

Does anyone know how to have a note or chord held with the superego and being able to solo over it? Every time i hold a chord and try to play a lick, the pedal picks up and holds whatever note i play next

I never put stuff in the loop. I wish it worked/sounded like I have in my head. That being said, I love the Superego dearly. One is my all time favorite pedals. I hope someone takes the same idea and improves it. I'm thinking of getting a arcade button placed in mine.

this is the ONLY video of a superego under a year old. that is a bad endorsement of this pedal. I am surprised there are no post rock, space rock, shoegaze guitarists just showing it off, is no one buying these? I got the pitchfork instead of it, and it has never been regretted. the detune is awesome and all the pitch stuff with reverb and delay is lovely. this pedal was so hyped then fell off
